Debra Ann Cohen was born in Massachusetts but has lived in Georgia for most of her life. Ms. Cohen attended the University of Georgia for her undergraduate degree, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration. She then attended the University of Georgia School of Law, attaining her Juris Doctor in 1992. While attending law school, Ms. Cohen clerked for an Athens, Georgia firm specializing in plaintiff-side litigation. There she gained first-hand knowledge of the need to protect the rights of those who have been injured either while on the job or due to the negligence of others. Ms. Cohen has since practiced in the areas of workers’ compensation and personal injury law for over twenty (20) years. Ms. Cohen is married to an attorney and has four daughters. She enjoys playing classical piano and is an avid art collector. Ms. Cohen is a member in good standing of both the State Bar of Georgia and the workers’ compensation section of the State Bar.
